We Have Girls

Okay I know it's been almost a year since I last posted on blogger, I guess I've mostly done Facebook, but I think this one deserves a blog post. Somtimes having all girls gets a little tiring with the drama and what not, but sometimes it's the best! We have the cutest, most creative girls in our family. They are always coming up with something.  Here's their latest.

P's Baptism

Some pics from P's baptism.  My dad took some better pics with his camera, so when I get those I'll post them.  Overall the day went very well.  I stressed about it for some time.  Especially over having enough room in the house, but we borrowed a table and set up what we had and it turned out okay.  Just a little squishy.

Everything I made for her baptism:  dress and hair bows, necklace and bracelet,  invitation/announcements,  pom-poms,  cookies and cupcakes,  dessert stand, pulled pork, and yummy yummy white jello.

Babe's Birthday & Family Pics

Still trying to catch up. For Bry's birthday, we borrowed roasted hot dogs and marshmallows in the back yard.

2011 Christmas Card
Family Pics. Put curser over pics to view. Bry was the picture taker, so he's not in much of them. We used the timer for the family ones.

Pyper's Baptism Photos

These are some some of the many pics we took before the baptism.

It's Almost July?

Holy cow time flies!! I can't believe summer is like half way over. I have been sulking lately and not posting pics due to my camera battery charger being lost. I've looked everywhere. The only think I can think of is that we took it somewhere and left it. So if anyone sees an extra charger at their house, let me know :)

Anway, here are the pics I took before the batter died.

P's Science Project
P's first science project: What Makes a Better Cookie: Butter, Margarine, Shortening, or Lard?

Suffice to say, we made a LOT of cookies. We had to make enough to have family and neighbors test them to see which had the best taste and texture. She tested 25 people. Overall, (in her experiment) surprisingly margarine won. It tied for taste with butter, but had better texture. I'm still skeptical, but those were the results. To each his own, right?

The Destroyer

S has two names: The Destroyer and The Dragon. E.g. " Watch out, The Destroyer is coming." or "Uh oh, The Dragon has woke." This is what happens when I leave S in the Kitchen while I'm doing my hair. Now we try to put the table in front of the pantry.

Easter Dresse

So back in Feb or Mar, can't remember, Joanne's had a sale where this fabric (which is already low-priced) was 50% off. I got a whole bunch and decided to make Easter dresses with it. I saw a way cute dress on Etsy that was priced at like $300 and thought I could make it, so with no pattern I went to it. I definitely had problems, (if you can't tell in the pics.) The hardest part, for some reason, was just getting the simple skirt shape down. Also, the tops were too short. I have since lengthened them, but they went to church that first time with their bellies poking out all the time. Even still, the dresses are P's favorite!
