Pyper's Fairy Party!

Okay, now I know sometimes I bite off a little more than I can chew, but this just might take the cake. We got home from Arizona on a Monday and Pyper's party was supposed to be Friday. (Ignore the dates on the pictures, I can't seem to fix my camera at the moment.) Anyway, I had this plan that I was going to make fairy skirts and wands for all the girls. (There were 16 invited.) And I was going to cut fairy wings out of poster board and they could decorate them at the party. Well, I don't know what I was thinking. I had only 3 skirts done when we got home so I worked and worked to get all the skirts and wands done. (Which amazingly happened.) Then I cut out all the wings. By the time I got all this done it was Friday. On Friday I realized I had to make a bunch of cupcakes and clean my filthy house. I also realized that I was not going to be able to handle that many kids myself so I called Brooke to come help me when the time came. I was still finishing up cupcakes when the girls started arriving. I hadn't really planned things out. There was no room at the table for everyone so they kinda had to switch off. They would either be at the table, or getting sparkles on their face, or playing in the toy room. It didn't really work that well, because everyone wanted to be at the table and some girls took quite a long time decorating. And to add to that they were decorating with sparkle glue and it had to dry so I was trying to find room to lay all these wings on counters and wherever. They still didn't dry by the time moms started coming. When it was time for them to go I realized I hadn't put the goodie bags together so I was just trying to throw stuff in bags and send them home with them. Aaahhhh!!!

Well, Pyper had fun and that's all that matters. Right?

Kokopelli Triathlon 2007

Well, this was the only triathlon I was planning for this year. I wasn't as ready as I felt I should have been so I think I secretly wished I wouldn't have to race. I jinxed the whole thing!!! After getting up way early and getting ready in the dark with lanterns, (we were camping out,) then getting in the water and warming up, they cancelled the race. Actually I did get to race the swim portion, but as I was coming out of the water and running to my transition area, the girl next to me said it was being called off and that somebody was going to die out there. Then I looked around and noticed how bad the weather was. All the tents were blowing around and people were running, trying to take cover. The announcer kept repeating that this was the hardest decision a race official has to make. I guess after I thought about it, the swim did seem a little bumpy and I had to breathe on the side opposite the wind or I'd get water in my mouth. I also had felt the rain drops, but it really didn't seem that bad. I was to focused on the race to notice. There were people from the olympic division who were already out on their bikes. I started to worry for them. It did get pretty windy.

Bryant and my dad didn't even get to race in the water. They announced the cancellation right after the women had left. So I found the rest of my family pretty easily, even amongst everyone running everywhere. Usually at the end of the race they have all sorts of food and drinks and stuff at the tables. Since they weren't having an end of a race and they had tons of food, they were giving complete boxes away to anyone left who would take them. So we took like two boxes of cookies and a box of energy bars back to our camp site.

I was a little happy I didn't have to race on the bike, but I was really sad, because it was the only race I had planned the whole season. Oh well, I'll be ready next season so I don't have to jinx the race. We're already signed up for the St. George Tri. (OLYMPIC!)

Halloween

The girls and I went down to Arizona for Halloween this year. I was so excited because I remember when I used to live down there I didn't have to wear a coat over my costume. I am not a big fan of having to cover up the girls' costumes to go trick-or-treating. What's the point of putting on a costume? It was fun. We went trick-or-treating at the mall, went to a trunk-or-treat, then went trick-or-treating around Jessica's neighborhood. The girls were so exhausted by the end of the night. Pyper was even pouting because she didn't want to go to another house. She wouldn't walk up to another door.

Diaper Duty

I'm sick of changing Diapers!!! (Baby's diaper, that is.) Zoee always wants me to change Baby's diaper. Pyper tries to help sometimes, but it just makes Zoee more upset. When I put the diaper on, Zoee takes the diaper off 2 seconds later and then wants it put back on. UGH!

Princess Pyper

Aunt Michelle just had to give this big princess pillow to Pyper. She loves to pretend she's a princess even though sometimes she doesn't act like one!

Family Home Evening

Our topic for family home evening was "I am a Child of God." We talked about how we would all be princes and princesses because we are children of our Heavenly Father. Pyper loved it!! She got to color and wear a crown, and be a princess.

Las Vegas with Grandma and Grandpa

We met my parents in Circus Circus in Vegas on our way to their house in Yuma. Pyper wanted to go on the spinning ride and Mom can't handle those rides very well so Grandpa went with her. I think it was a little scary at first, but it quickly turned to "fun fun fun." On the carousel, Zoee had a hard time with me going on with Pyper. Grandma had to point to me each time I went around.

Pyper's Dance

Pyper took a little Dance class at the Rec a little while ago. All the classes had a little performance at the Senior Friendship Center. She loves dance, however, she had a little trouble doing what the teacher said. She likes to dance her own way!

ARIZONA!!!

In May we went to Arizona for Kiara's baby blessing. The girls and I were there for almost two weeks and Bry was there for the weekend. We went to Yuma and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Jorgensen first. From there we were able to drive out to San Diego and go to Seaworld. Seaworld was fun til everyone was drenched and ready to go home. We didn't think we were low enough at Shamu to get wet, because the dolphins didn't splash that much, but, oh man, did we get wet. The girls were screaming! Then Jessica and I ended up going down the Atlantis ride and the float tube ride (which was a mistake.) We ended up having to buy new pants to ride home in. The girls and I stayed at Jessica's most of the time. We spent one night at Marc and Natalie's. We went swimming alot and took some pictures in the photo studio at Jessica's work. We got our hair done and had family picture's taken at Sears. The day after the blessing, just before everyone went back home, we had Chris's family watch the kids while the adults went and saw Spiderman 3. The trip was tons of fun. It's always good to be with family.

Easter

Easter was a bit stressful till after church. I was still trying to finish the girls' hats and I had to give my first lesson in Relief Society. Usually I am really excited about Easter and the Easter Bunny coming, but we're lucky the Easter Bunny even came this year. I decided NOT to make the girls' dresses this time. We went to Burlington Coat Factory and got the cutest ones that were the right sizes. I did have to embelish the hats a bit to make them match the dresses. After church was fun. We had some pictures and then Grandma and Grandpa Bailey came over to play.

EGG HUNT @ the Rec

I know, I know. I'm finally making another post. I have several new posts I want to make, but I don't have all my pics loaded yet, so it'll take some time. The Easter egg hunt at the Orem Rec Center was great! Both Pyper and Zoee were so good. Pyper did just what I told her and went for all the eggs first, then the candy; and Zoee picked up everything on her own! Even with all the eggs Pyper picked up, though, she still didn't win any prizes. It's all good, it was still fun. At least it wasn't raining like last year.

Our New Dog--Barkly

We've had Barkly now for about 2 weeks! He's a pretty good dog as long as he doesn't eat anything other than his own food. He kind of just sits and sleeps and takes the abuse from the kids. He's a pretty good guard dog too. He'll bark when someone comes to the door and he knows we are home. He can shake hands and sits and lays when you tell him to. He obeys really well! I still have a hard time with the poop in the yard, but Bryant has gone to clean it up. (As long as I don't have to.) He's actually missing a hip so when Bryant took him to the river to go fishing and he was jumping around chasing the fish, the next day he was so sore he was limping around. I thought for sure he had a broken leg. I must admit, as much as I did not want a dog, we got the perfect one for us!

ZOEE'S 1ST BIRTHDAY!

Zoee turned 1 year old on February 15th. It was just a little party with just us, but we had fun. Dad blew up some balloons and Mom made a cake. Zoee just enjoyed having a whole piece of cake to herself without any help.
