Another Race Day!

Okay so I'm trying to start not naming places, so if you don't know which race this is, it's the green slimy lake by my house. Even though the lake is not so fun to swim in, it's a good race. Mostly flat! They did change the course a bit, though, since I did it two years ago. The run was half shaded last time; I don't remember any shade this time, and there was a patch of dirt on the bike and some rock road on the run. So not as easy as I remember. The rock road was the worst. It's like running in sand, but if you were to fall it would hurt a lot more.

I was the second girl coming out of the swim. Which was cool, but usually everyone passes me on the bike and run. I don't think I did too shabby though. I even passed the girl that came ahead of me on the bike.

I pushed myself alot harder than the St. George, knowing that it was half the distance, so I was pretty tired by the time the run started. The first lap was pretty slow, but then I think I caught my second wind and picked up the pace.



I ended up 5th in my category. Wahoo!!!

Grandma's Shirts

Grandma wanted to get the girls some shirts while we were in Vegas. The deal was buy 2 get one free so, since they didn't have my size, she bought Bry one too. Most of the sayings we could choose from were for little kids. We tried to pick the best sayings for their personalities and I think we did a VERY good job. Bryant's says "Time Out Club Official Member" Pyper's says "Angel + Princess = Me" and Zoee's says " Daddy's Little Trouble Maker."

ALPHABET COOKIES!

The other day instead of practicing letter sounds with Pyper I decided to make alphabet cookies. The girls love making cookies, (although sometimes frustrating for me.) I didn't have any white flour so I used whole wheat. They didn't taste as good, but still turned out okay and are I guess are more healthy. We frosted some and spelled out a note for Dad when he got home from work. Such a fun way to learn ABC's!

LAS VEGAS

I have quite a bit of updating to do, so I might have several new posts up today.

First off, a few weeks ago the girls and I drove down to Las Vegas. We met my parents and stayed in Circus Circus. My dad had a convention down there so we went so my mom wouldn't get bored. The first day we mostly spent walking around the circus acts and games in the hotel. (And of course going out to eat.)

The next day we got all day passes to the theme park. It was pretty fun, except the girls didn't like the simulation rides and the water ride was closed. They went on the ones they liked several times, though. Pyper was just tall enough to go on some bigger rides and Zoee was just tall enough to go on some rides with an adult. (Good thing my girls are tall.) Then we went to eat at this way cool Japanese buffet. I admit, I'm not a
big fan of Japanese food, but this place had everything including crab legs, every kind of sushi, and creme brulle (however you spell it.) Oh it was so good. I had 3 bowls of the creme brulle. Pyper liked the chocolate fountain. She got to put strawberries and marshmallows under it.

The last day we went to the Flamingo to see all the animals they had in there exhibit. It was cool to see the flamingos and huge fish and other birds. And it was very pretty with waterfalls and things. Then we spent a few hours at the pool. We played mini golf in the theme park and walked around Circus Circus and played lots of games. The girls won some prizes and we saw some more fun circus acts. The girls actually ended up with lots of fun toys because Grandpa also brought them fun things from his convention. It's amazing all the fun things people give out at those things. Some of the many things we were given were hats. Zoee loved hers; she wanted to wear it everywhere.

It was lots of fun, even though I'm not a big fan of the drive, it was worth it! A much needed vacation.

4 WHEELIN!

We went out riding the other day with uncle Jorgen and some friends. Pyper got to ride a four wheeler just her size and she LOVED it! Both the girls got to ride the big bikes as well. FUN FUN FUN!

Little Preschool Grad

Pyper went to preschool at Timpanogas High this year. She loved it! (Most of the time.. She didn't like getting out of bed to get ready to go.) They went on lots of field trips and she made some new friends. Her program on the last day was fun. Bryant and I went to watch. They sang lots of songs and got to bring home a little scrapbook of work they've done and lots of pictures. Her birthday misses the deadline for school so she gets to go another year of preschool. Yay! Isn't she a cute little graduate?
